PRESS RELEASE: Capital City Go-Go Acquire Jake Stephens Via Trade with Stockton Kings

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Capital City Go-Go, the NBA G League affiliate of the Washington Wizards, have acquired Jake Stephens via trade with the Stockton Kings. In exchange, the Go-Go have agreed to trade the returning player rights to Kris Dunn and Jordan Goodwin. In a related move, the Go-Go have waived Daryl Doualla.
Stephens (6-11, 270) has appeared in nine games for the Kings this season, averaging 5.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 11.9 minutes per game. Prior to joining the NBA G League, Stephens was a member of the Sacramento Kings California Classic Summer League roster after going undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft out of Tennessee-Chattanooga. The 24-year-old spent one season at Tennessee-Chattanooga, averaging 22.8 points, 9.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 17 games played in 2022-23. Before transferring to Tennessee-Chattanooga, Stephens spent four years at Virginia Military Institute and averaged 11.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists 119 games.
Daryl Doualla was drafted by the Go-Go with the fifth pick in the 2023 International G League Draft and appeared in three games for the Go-Go this season. Kris Dunn spent the beginning of the 2022-23 season with the Go-Go before earning a call-up with the Utah Jazz on Feb. 22, 2023. Jordan Goodwin was with the Wizards and Go-Go from 2021-2023 before being traded to the Phoenix Suns on June 24, 2023 by the Wizards.
