Go-Go High School Day Priority Dates
By Capital City Go-Go Staff /July 18, 2023
The Capital City Go-Go will host high school students in grades 9-12 on November 15th at Entertainment and Sports Arena. The NBA G League develops the NBA's future stars, and the Go-Go wants to do the same for students as they get ready for life beyond high school. Here are five reasons why you should attend:
1. Students will have the opportunity to speak to representatives from local colleges and universities to learn more about majors and financial aid. Trade schools will also be in attendance along with various Service Academy representatives. 2. Watch the next stars of the NBA up close – the Capital City Go-Go had four players that earned two-way contracts with NBA teams last season. The Go-Go have made two straight playoff appearances and look to continue their recent success this season. 3. Learn first-hand from Monumental Sports associates about what it's like to have a career in sports. Monumental Sports, which oversees seven professional teams, is renowned for being a talent hotspot both on and off the court. Students will be able to interact, network, and gain a thorough understanding of what it's like to work in sports as a result. 4. Learn more about national historically black colleges and universities and majors directly associated with careers in sports. In recent years, a growing number of highly recruited athletes have committed to HBCUs, opening new doors and opportunities, particularly in the NBA G League. 5. The NBA G League has and is still expanding vastly, allowing more opportunities not only for athletes but for people who are passionate about working in sports. This allows for it to be a great time to learn more about life beyond high school for students. |

The Capital City Go-Go is proud to assist high school students to explore the many career opportunities after high school and aims to continue to find ways to assist our community.
