Go-Go Complete Regular Season Sweep of Bulls

The Capital City Go-Go, the NBA G League affiliate of the Washington Wizards, defeated the Windy City Bulls, 121-99, completing a two-game regular season sweep of the Bulls at the Entertainment & Sports Arena.
The Go-Go fell into a deficit early, down by as much as nine points in the first quarter. The team then rallied at the end of the quarter with two-way player Justin Champagnie hitting two threes, including a four-point play with :32.8 left in the first. Down by two at the end of the first, the Go-Go kept their foot on the gas, outscoring the Bulls 31-21 in the second quarter to finish the half up 61-53. The Go-Go steadily increased their lead throughout the rest of the game, going on to defeat the Bulls 121-99.
Wizards two-way player Jules Bernard led Capital City in points and assists with 24 points and seven assists. Champagnie was the team’s next highest scorer with 23 points, five rebounds, four assists and four blocks. Guard Hamidou Diallo led the team in rebounds with seven boards while putting up 18 points. RJ Nembhard led the team’s bench with 16 points and center Jake Stephens had his second-straight game scoring in double-figures with his 14-point, six-rebound performance.
The Bulls saw six players score in double-figures for the night with Jalen Harris leading the way with 21 points. Adama Sanogo recorded the only double-double of the night, leading the team with 11 rebounds while putting up 14 points. Andrew Funk led the team in assists with four.
The Go-Go will face the Delaware Blue Coats next on Wednesday, March 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Chase Fieldhouse.
