By Capital City Go-Go Staff /October 23, 2021

WASHINGTON, DC – The Capital City Go-Go, the Washington Wizards’ NBA G League affiliate, selected Rodney Pryor (Georgetown), Jachai Taylor (Queens, NC) and Jermaine Haley (West Virginia) with its three picks in the 2021 NBA G League Draft.

“We’re very pleased with the selections we were able to make this afternoon,” said Go-Go general manager Amber Nichols. “Rodney Pryor brings a wealth of G League experience and a veteran presence to our team, and his athleticism will help us on both ends of the floor. Jachai Taylor is an intriguing prospect who showed exceptional athleticism in college. Jermaine Haley showed qualities in college that we are looking for coming from a highly respected school like West Virginia. All of their experience should help us as we get ready for the upcoming season.”

With the 24th overall pick in the first round, Capital City selected Rodney Pryor, an NBA G League veteran from Georgetown. Pryor, originally from Evanston, Ill. has played in 100 career NBA G League games with Sioux Falls, Raptors 905, Windy City and Salt Lake City. Most recently, Pryor competed with the Salt Lake City Stars in the 2019-20 season, where he averaged 7.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per game in 35 games (seven starts).

Jachai Taylor, a 6-7, 210-pound swingman from Queens University (NC) was selected with the 24th overall pick in the second round. Taylor last played for Queens during the 2019-20 season, where he averaged 6.8 points and 3.4 rebounds per game his senior season. Originally from Waukegan, Ill., Taylor spent two seasons at Murray State before transferring to Queens to complete his collegiate career.

The Go-Go took Jermaine Haley, a 6-7, 215-pound guard from West Virginia with their third and final selection, the 24th pick in the third round of the draft. Haley started in all 30 games for the Mountaineers during the 2019-20 season, averaging 8.9 points and 4.3 rebounds per game his senior year.
