WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Capital City Go-Go (18-8), the NBA G League affiliate of the Washington Wizards, won their third-straight game in the Nation’s Capital, 140-120, over the Delaware Blue Coats (18-9) on Wednesday night. Capital City’s 20-point win marked their fifth 20+ point win of the season.

Capital City led wire-to-wire after jumping out to a 35-28 lead after the first quarter. The Go-Go would lead by 20 points at the half, scoring 73 points on 65.5 percent shooting – marking the most points the team has scored in a half this season. Capital City tied a season-high 140 points and set new team highs in points in the paint (90) and field goals made (56). Capital City also dished a season-high 35 assists, the third-straight game they have totaled 30 or more assists.

Led by their backcourt, Joel Ayayi and Jordan Goodwin combined for a total 47 points, 18 rebounds and 12 assists. Ayayi scored a career-high 25 points, with 19 coming in the first quarter – tying a Go-Go player high in a quarter. All five Go-Go starters reached double figures and Capital City center Jaime Echenique combined for 22 points (8-11 FG) and 12 rebounds, his 16th double-double of the season. Jordan Schakel (19 points), Isaiah Todd (11 points) and Cassius Winston (11 points) were also key scoring contributors.

Delaware was led by Shamorie Ponds’ 27 points (12-18 FG). Aaron Henry (25 points) and Patrick McCaw (22 points) were also key contributors.

The win kicked off a three-game homestand for the Go-Go, who will host to the Lakeland Magic for back-to-back games on Friday, March 25th and Saturday, March 26th at 7:00 p.m.
