The Capital City Go-Go defeated the Westchester Knicks, 115-99, to split the regular season series 1-1.

The stifling defense of the Go-Go set the tone for the evening and proved to be key in their victory. Capital City held Westchester to 36 percent shooting and ended the night with the advantage on the boards, 51-48. A handful of outstanding individual performances paced the Go-Go, with three players ending the evening with double-doubles. Hamidou Diallo led the Go-Go with a team-high 22 points.

Capital City guard Devon Dotson made his return to the lineup after missing the team’s previous matchup against the College Park Skyhawks on February 12. Dotson led all players with 10 assists on the night and 16 points of his own. Dotson also contributed to the team’s rebounding advantage, bringing down seven boards.

Forward Hamidou Diallo and center Jake Stephens both had double-double efforts for the Go-Go. Diallo filled up the stat sheet with 22 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals. Stephens finished the game with 10 points and 11 rebounds, making a huge impact with a game-best +/- of +29.

The Westchester Knicks saw four players score in double figures, with guard Brandon Goodwin leading all scorers with 32 points. Kaiden Rice and Abdullah Ahmed led the Knicks on the boards, both with 11 rebounds.

The Go-Go will go back on the road after All-Star Break, with back-to-back games against the Cleveland Charge on Friday, February 23 and Saturday, February 24. Both games will tip-off from Wolstein Center in Cleveland, OH at 7 PM.
