Game Preview: 11.13 Capital City Go-Go vs. Delaware Blue Coats

Coming off a season-opening win over the Maine Celtics, the Go-Go host reigning G League Champs the Delaware Blue Coats in a back-to-back on Monday and Wednesday. The two last met in the playoffs last season, when the Blue Coats won in a close 104-99 second round game.  

The Go-Go saw a career-high performance from Jules Bernard on Friday, who had 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists alongside Hamidou Diallo’s 28 point, 10 rebound, and 5 assist showing. The team was efficient, shooting 52.2% from the field, 48.4% from three and 86.4% from the free throw line. The game ended in a 137-127 win, the team’s sixth-highest scoring game in franchise history. 

Delaware is coming off a 135-103 loss against the Westchester Knicks. Blue Coats guard Terquavion Smith led the team with a 37 point performance off the bench. He was accompanied by double-digit performances from Ricky Council IV (19), Javonte Smart (17), and Jared Brownridge (10).  

The Go-Go will look to get another win in the Showcase Cup to work towards a spot in the Showcase Tournament this December in Orlando.
