By Capital City Go-Go Staff /January 8, 2024

The Capital City Go-Go look to continue their 2024 success in a Monday night matchup against the Westchester Knicks.

Capital City is coming off a 119-113 victory against the Maine Celtics on Friday, January 5, in which the team was led by five players in double-figures. Washington Wizards assignee Ryan Rollins led the team with 25 points on 9-12 shooting. Guard Devon Dotson notched 23 points, six rebounds, and five assists in his return after missing the previous two games for the Go-Go.

After leading the East Division with a 13-4 record during the Showcase Season, the Knicks have stumbled out of the gate thus far this regular season after losses to both the Long Island Nets and the Delaware Blue Coats to begin the year. Westchester secured their first victory of the regular season with a 118-108 win on Saturday, January 6, against the Blue Coats in the second leg of a back-to-back series.

The Knicks have been led by the trio of guards Brandon Goodwin, Charlie Brown Jr., and DaQuan Jeffries – averaging 24.8, 21.2, and 21.0 PPG respectively this regular season.

Monday’s game against the Go-Go will be the regular-season home opener for the Knicks. The two teams played two games during the Showcase Season, splitting the series 1-1.

Tip-off from the Westchester County Center is at 7 PM. The game will be available to watch via NBAGLeague.com
