Game Preview: 1.19 vs Iowa Wolves

The Capital City Go-Go are back on the road as they prepare for a matchup against the Iowa Wolves on Saturday, January 20.  

The Go-Go are coming off a game Wednesday night in which they had five players score in double figures in route to a 116-101 victory over the Raptors 905. The matchup was the first of 2024 on their home court for the Go-Go after an extended road trip to begin the year. 

Washington Wizards two-way player Eugene Omoruyi led all players with a game-high 29 points in a double-double effort against the Raptors 905. Jules Bernard, another Washington Wizards two-way player, also helped pace scoring for the Go-Go with 24 points and 11 rebounds on the evening. 

The team will now face the Iowa Wolves for the first and only time this season. The Wolves have been led this regular season by the backcourt pairing of Tyrese Martin and D.J. Carton. Martin and Carton have averaged 20.2 and 19.4 PPG this season, respectively, and Carton leads the team in assists at 6.4 per game.  

Tip-off for Saturday’s matchup is at 8 PM ET from Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, IA. The game will be available to watch via Tubi.
