COLOMBIAN EMBASSY CELEBRATES JAIME ECHENIQUE

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Tuesday, January 18, Capital City Go-Go center Jaime Echenique attended a private reception hosted by the Ambassador of Colombia to the United States H.E., Juan Carlos Pinzón Bueno. The Secretary of Sports of Barranquilla, Gabriel Berdugo was also present. The event celebrated Echenique’s achievement of becoming Colombia’s first NBA player, after signing a 10-day contract with the Washington Wizards on December 30, 2021.
This season, Echenique has appeared in 20 games for the Capital City Go-Go, the NBA G League affiliate of the Washington Wizards, averaging 15.2 points, 9.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game.
