The Capital City Go-Go, the NBA G League affiliate of the Washington Wizards, announced the team will host STEM Education Day presented by Deloitte on Tuesday, February 25 at 11:30 a.m. against the Maine Red Claws at the Entertainment and Sports Arena.
Over 20 local schools will be in attendance for Tuesday’s game, which will focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) activities focused around basketball. All children in attendance will receive a Go-Go-themed workbook with activities and information on how STEM powers the game of basketball (a copy of the booklet is attached). The concourse will also be home to two mad science activations, a “Make & Take” slime station, as well as a bubbling potion station. Wizards mascot G-Wiz will also be in attendance for the day’s festivities.
Single-game tickets to Tuesday’s game are available through Ticketmaster, starting as low as $12. More information on group tickets can be found at capitalcity.gleague.nba.com/go-go-fan-experience-packages/ or by calling the ticket office at 202-864-4350.
