The Capital City Go-Go, the Washington Wizards’ NBA G League affiliate, will hold an open practice to the public at the historic Barry Farms Goodman League courts in Southeast, D.C. from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2.
“The Barry Farms courts and the Goodman League are an incredibly important part of the Washington, D.C. basketball scene and to the culture that brings us the Go-Go name, we bear the name and want to continually embody that which is D.C. culture,” said former Goodman League participant and Go-Go General Manager Pops Mensah-Bonsu. “To be able to bring a Go-Go practice outdoors, to those courts, for the people of Ward 7 and 8 will be a terrific event and an exciting day for our players, coaches, and staff.”
All Go-Go players and staff will be on hand for the event. Fans will get a firsthand look at first-year head coach Ryan Richman leading the team through a variety of drills and schemes in preparation for the 2019-2020 season.
Fans will also have an opportunity to enjoy music, interact with Go-Go players, and participate in family-friendly activities. There will also be several ticket giveaways for the Go-Go home opener and select Wizards games.
