WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Capital City Go-Go (10-6), the NBA G League affiliate of the Washington Wizards, took down the Greensboro Swarm (6-9), 106-85, to enter the All-Star Break on a three-game winning streak.

The Go-Go used a late first half run to push out to a 10-point halftime advantage, before extending the lead to 20 early in the third. Capital City cruised down the stretch as they improved to 10-6 in the regular season and took the season series from Greensboro 2-1.

Capital City was fueled by a first quarter burst from Jordan Schakel, who knocked down five threes en route to 19 points, the most by any Go-Go player in a quarter this season. From there, the Go-Go dominated the Swarm in the paint, outscoring them 62-28 on the night and out-rebounding them 59-35. The Go-Go pulled down a team-record 25 offensive rebounds, leading to 24 second chance points.

Schakel led all scorers with a season-high 25 points. Jaime Echenique notched his second-straight game with 15+ rebounds, finishing with 12 points and 16 rebounds for his 12th double-double of the season. Greg Monroe tallied a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double in his return to the Go-Go. Jordan Goodwin (14 points), TJ Cline (14 points) and DeJon Jarreau (13 points) rounded out the scoring for Capital City.

Greensboro was led by Cameron McGriff’s 20 points. D.J. Carton (12 points), Arnoldas Kulboka (11 points) and Ikenna Ndugba (10 points) provided the scoring for the Swarm.

The Go-Go will be back in action after the break with a trip to College Park on Feb. 23. Greensboro will host Raptors 905 on Feb. 23 as well.
