It was announced by USA Basketball today that Chris Chiozza will participate in the FIBA World Cup Qualifying training camp and games from Feb. 15–25. Chiozza has averaged 12.4 points, 6.6 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game this season for Capital City.
Chiozza is the only member of the Go-Go to start in all 34 games this season and leads the team in assists while ranking sixth overall in the NBA G League with 225. Over his last 13 games, he has averaged 16.0 points, 6.5 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game while shooting 47.1 percent from the field and 51.7 percent from three-point range. The Florida product tallied three-consecutive 20-plus-point games from Jan. 10–15, including his first 30-point game of the season.
Chiozza will begin training at the University of Miami (Florida) from Feb. 15–19 before the team will travel to Greensboro, North Carolina, with its final 12-man roster to play Feb. 22 against Panama and Feb. 25 against Argentina.
